Will Robert F. Kennedy Jr. influence the US election result? With around ten percent in polls, he could influence the outcome as an independent.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an independent presidential candidate, could potentially influence the race for the White House between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

Kennedy, who is a nephew of President John F. Kennedy Jr., who was assassinated in 1963, made a name for himself as a combative advocate on environmental and consumer issues. In the current election campaign, according to “Tagesschau”, he is a “product of dissatisfied voters” who are at odds with the two main candidates.

Trump warned his Republican supporters about Kennedy, whom he described as a “work of the Democrats” and who had been installed “so that the villain Joe Biden would get re-elected.” Politics professor Hans Noel from Georgetown University in Washington told the “Tagesschau” that Kennedy could influence the election result, especially if he manages to get on the ballot in battleground states such as Michigan, Arizona or Wisconsin.

Despite his populist and more right-wing messages, Kennedy has not won the support of part of his famous family. More than a dozen members of the Kennedy family have pledged their support to Biden, according to the “Tagesschau”.

Although he is currently polling around 10 percent nationally, Kennedy has not yet qualified for the first presidential debate. According to Noel, taking part in the debate could give his campaign momentum. Kennedy recently made headlines when he confirmed that doctors had found a dead worm in his brain.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen what role Kennedy will ultimately play in the presidential campaign. Whether he can influence the outcome in favor of Trump or Biden remains uncertain.
