Under-21s Squad Confirmed for Croatia and England Friendlies
Ireland Under-21s Head Coach Jim Crawford has announced a 25-man squad for upcoming friendlies against Croatia and England. The young Boys in Green will gather before heading to Zagreb to face Croatia on June 7 and England Under-20s on June 11.
Among the squad are first-time call-ups for Conan Noonan of Shamrock Rovers and Connor O’Brien from Accrington Stanley. Noonan’s impressive season with four assists for his club earned him the call-up, while O’Brien has been a key player for Accrington Stanley in League 2.
The squad also sees the return of Ollie O’Neill, Aidomo Emakhu, Johnny Kenny, James Abankwah, and Killian Cahill who missed the previous trip to San Marino. However, Tayo Adaramola, Zak Gilsenan, Sean Grehan, Killian Phillips, and Andrew Wogan will miss out, with Wogan focusing on his upcoming Leaving Cert exams.
New additions to the squad include Bosun Lawal, Josh Keeley, and Andrew Moran, who were previously involved in John O’Shea’s senior men’s team.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad consists of talented players from various clubs, ready to showcase their skills in the upcoming friendlies. The schedule includes a match against Croatia on June 7 and England on June 11, both taking place at Gradski Stadion in Zagreb.
Overall, the squad is prepared and eager to face tough competition in the upcoming international fixtures, representing Ireland with pride and determination.
