Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister, was recently murdered in a sensational crime in Mumbai. The Mumbai police have uncovered shocking details about the murder, revealing that the attackers were paid ₹50,000 each to carry out the crime. The conspiracy behind the murder was traced back to Pune, where the plan was hatched.
The attackers, identified as Gurmel Baljit Singh, Dharmaraj Kashyap, and Shivkumar Gautam, were armed with pepper spray to immobilize their target. However, they ended up using firearms, with Gautam being the one who fired the fatal shot. Another man named Pravin Lonkar was also arrested in connection with the murder, as his brother claimed on social media that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was behind the crime.
The attackers were initially promised a larger sum of money after completing the murder of Baba Siddique. They went as far as buying a motorcycle to track Siddique’s movements from Kurla to Bandra, as well as surveying his house and office daily. They also visited places frequented by Siddique’s son, Zeeshan Siddique, a Congress MLA in Mumbai.
Following the murder, the police recovered two pistols, 28 bullets, and four phones from the accused. Gautam, who fired the fatal shot, managed to flee the scene and is currently on the run. Shubham Lonkar, who allegedly provided the shooters with guns and ammunition, is also absconding.
The motive behind the murder was speculated to be Siddique’s proximity to actor Salman Khan, as indicated in a social media post claiming that the crime was related to Khan and Dawood Ibrahim. Salman Khan himself visited Siddique’s house to pay his respects after the funeral, which took place on Sunday.
This tragic incident sheds light on the dangers faced by public figures and the lengths to which criminals will go to carry out such heinous acts. The investigation into Baba Siddique’s murder is ongoing, with authorities working to bring all those involved to justice and ensure that such crimes do not go unpunished.
