Roll up, roll up! We had the exciting opportunity to take a peek behind the scenes of Come Alive!, the circus musical inspired by the beloved movie The Greatest Showman. This spectacular show features all the iconic songs from the film, such as “This Is Me”, “Rewrite the Stars”, and “A Million Dreams”, performed in a dedicated 700-seat big top space at the Empress Museum in London’s Earls Court.
The talented cast of Come Alive! is led by Simon Bailey, known for his performances in Moulin Rouge!, Heathers, and Jersey Boys. Making her professional debut is Aaliya Mai, who plays Max, a shy young roustabout raised in the circus. The production also boasts vocalists like Jaz Ellington, Charlotte-Hannah Jones, Whitney Martins, and Fallon Mondlane, as well as a troupe of skilled dancers including Maisie Axton, Genie Gledhill, Mia Jayne, Konnie Karachaliou, Ebby Sama, Emma-Louise Stansall, and Ross Wilkins.
In addition to the talented cast, Come Alive! features a selection of international circus performers who bring a whole new level of excitement to the show. From acrobats to gymnasts, the diverse group of performers includes Juan Anyosa, Korri Aulakh, Klodi Dabkiewicz, Bella Diosa, Yann LeBlanc, Dave Locke, Rachel Locks, Manases Palacios Molano, Shona Morgan, Dean Murrell, Theddy Nardin, Antino Pansa, Daniel Luengo Quintero, Joel Roxendal, Itzel Salvatierra, and Josephine Urry.
Under the direction of Simon Hammerstein, with a creative team including music producer Matthew Brind, choreographers Jerry Reeve and Lukas McFarlane, and lighting designer Adam Bassett, Come Alive! promises to be a visually stunning and captivating experience for audiences.
