A nocturnal alcohol ban has been in effect there since last weekend. In enforcing and controlling the measure, the police have received support from the public order office in the Mitte district since Friday evening. In the coming weeks, employees should be out and about in the parks on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
The district had issued the ban after riots at parties. It has been in effect since last weekend until September 11th. During this time, no alcohol may be brought into the facilities between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. daily. Criticism had caused that the ban should be enforced and controlled primarily by the police.
