Evan Fournier’s debut with the Boston Celtics will need to waitas the recently acquired guard was put in the NBA’s wellbeing and security protocols on Saturday.

With Fournier clearing his physical on Friday, it had been believed he could make his Celtics debut from the Thunder on Saturday. It’s unclear if Fournier was a positive evaluation or ruled out due to contact tracing. When it’s the latter, per league protocols, he will need to register negative evaluations for seven days prior to leaving quarantine.
Fournier was obtained on trade deadline day by the Orlando Magic in market for 2 second-round picks. The 28-year-old guard is averaging a career-high 19.7 points and 3.7 assists this year, including 38.8percent from 3 on more than seven tries per game.
