Porsche Unveils New 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid for Enhanced Performance
Porsche has introduced the new 911 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid, featuring an innovative powertrain system that delivers significantly improved driving performance. The 911 Carrera GTS Coupé can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 312 km/h. The new model is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo boxer engine that is more powerful than its predecessor’s. The redesigned 911 also boasts a revamped design, enhanced aerodynamics, a fresh interior, upgraded standard equipment, and expanded connectivity options.
Innovative Performance Hybrid Inspired by Motorsport
Porsche’s engineers drew inspiration from motor racing to design the hybrid system for the new 911 Carrera GTS models. The T-Hybrid system features a newly developed electric exhaust gas turbocharger, along with an integrated electric motor that generates up to 11 kW of electric power. This energy is extracted from the exhaust gas flow, allowing for a more dynamic and responsive power delivery. The lightweight and powerful T-Hybrid system, coupled with a permanent magnet synchronous motor in the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, provides a total system output of 398 kW and 610 Nm of torque.
Optimised Suspension and Sporty Exterior Design
The suspension of the 911 Carrera GTS has been revised, with rear-axle steering now standard for increased stability at high speeds. The Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) anti-roll stabilisation system has been integrated into the performance hybrid, along with a sports suspension and lowered ride height for characteristic GTS handling. The exterior design of the 911 has also been streamlined to improve aerodynamics and performance, with new model-specific bumpers and matrix LED headlights. The 911 Carrera GTS models feature active cooling air flaps, adaptive front diffusers, and redesigned rear grilles for enhanced airflow and reduced drag.
The new 911 Carrera models are now available for order, with a fully digital cockpit, expanded connectivity features, and a range of customisation options.
