Red Toyota Parked in Wheelchair Space
One of the incidents involved a red Toyota parked in a wheelchair space on High Street. A member of the Gardaí came across the vehicle, only to be told by the driver’s son that the driver would be back in five minutes. However, the son was unable to move the vehicle as he was not insured. As a result, a 150 Euro fine was issued for the violation.
Driver with Slick Tires and on the Phone
Shortly after the first incident, another driver in a BMW was caught driving on the phone with slick tires. When stopped by the Gardaí, the driver claimed to be on the way to get new tires. However, the authorities emphasized that tires do not deteriorate overnight, comparing them to birthdays. The driver was also issued fines and Penalty Points for the offense.
