Thousands of Trump supporters flocked to a rally in the Bronx. The ex-president spoke to an estimated 8,000 to 10,000 people despite the permitted 3,500 people in attendance, but his team still overestimated the number of visitors.

On Thursday evening, Donald Trump held a rally in Crotona Park in the Bronx. The number of people present exceeded the permitted number of 3,500 people. This is reported by the Daily Mail. Trump supporters formed a “U” around the podium on the hill in the park, forming a crowd whose exact size was difficult to estimate. Many had to watch the rally behind barriers because they were unable to enter the venue.

The Trump campaign celebrated the event’s success, claiming that 25,000 loyal Trump fans attended the ex-president’s event. His spokeswoman claimed that “more than 25,000 showed up in the deep blue Bronx.” According to the Daily Mail, police sources estimated that 8,000 to 10,000 people were present.

The rally was the first by a Republican presidential candidate in the Bronx since Ronald Reagan more than 40 years ago. Trump thanked his supporters, who proudly wore their MAGA hats and other Trump merchandise, saying: “What a crowd. It’s like a lovefest.”

Before the rally, Democratic politicians had claimed that Trump supporters were being brought into the district from other areas for his speech, angering Bronx Republicans. In the 2020 presidential election, the Bronx borough overwhelmingly voted for Joe Biden.
