On the occasion of a particularly busy weekend, the gendarmerie is stepping up its checks on the roads of France.
In the Lot-et-Garonne (south-west), good motorists receive “fines”… in chocolate for Easter.
“It’s a small local producer who made us small tasting pouches, with mainly chocolate almonds for Easter, explains Colonel Emmanuel Houzé, commander of the departmental group of gendarmerie of Lot-et-Garonne. […] But all those who have something to reproach themselves with will not have an almond with an A but will have a fine with an E.”
