According to the organization, there are approximately 1 million MS patients in the United States at this time.
Applegate isn’t the first celebrity to publicly share a diagnosis of MS in recent years. Applegate’s announcement was preceded in part by her “The Sweetest Thing,” co-star Selma Blai, Jamie Lynn Sigler, former talk-show host Montell Williams, and Jack Osbourne, reality star.
