The Airport Express (FEX) was completely canceled during the last two weeks of the Berlin vacation. Due to construction work on the tracks in Berlin-Grünau, the trains between the main station and BER will no longer run from around 4 a.m. on Monday until the morning of August 22nd, Deutsche Bahn announced. Passengers would have to switch to other connections during this time.
The FEX takes about 30 minutes for the route. Some regional trains are similarly fast.
However, there are also restrictions on these connections in August: Accordingly, the RB14 and the RE7 will not stop in Terminal 1-2 of the airport from Monday, August 15th to Friday, August 19th, but in Terminal 5. The same reason here : Work on tracks in Grünau. (dpa)
