After a fire and several explosions at a blasting and test site used by the police to dispose of explosive ordnance, the surrounding forest caught fire in Grunewald early Thursday morning. The fire in Nikolassee had expanded significantly over the course of the day.

The S-Bahn recommends the following bypass options:
Regional and long-distance trains are also still affected and will not run between Charlottenburg and Wannsee/Potsdam Hauptbahnhof.
