HOUSTON — Another lawsuit has been filed from Deshaun Watson, this one alleging the Houston Texans quarterback assaulted a licensed aesthetician”by touching her with his penis and exposing himself.”
The lawsuit, filed Friday night and made available on the Harris County District Clerk’s website on Monday, stated”Watson’s behavior is part of a troubling and escalating pattern” This was the 22nd lawsuit filed by Houston attorney Tony Buzbee since March 16.
The plaintiff alleges Watson”caught” her buttocks during a massage while his”penis was erect… and completely exposed.” The lawsuit alleges Watson advised that the massage therapist she had to signal a non-disclosure arrangement before he’d pay her to get the massage.
The lawsuit states,”based on publicly available information, in a short time period… Watson used more than fifty distinct girls for massages” and alleges that”Watson selected all of these women via social media, largely through Instagram and through SnapChat.” However, some of the suits filed by Buzbee reference Watson reserving a massage through a spa or through another referral.
Buzbee also has scheduled a news conference for Tuesday in which he states that he”will address significant and important improvements in the Deshaun Watson case.”
Along with the 22 women who have filed suits against Watson, 18 girls released statements through Rusty Hardin, Watson’s lawyer, stating they have worked with the Texans quarterback and that he”never made them feel uneasy or demanded anything beyond the reach of a professional massage” Watson’s lawyer said the claims were from women who have jointly”worked with Deshaun over 130 times within the previous five decades.”
It’s unknown whether Buzbee has spoken to the additional 10 girls he referenced when he wrote”Watson utilized more than fifty distinct girls for massages” at Friday’s lawsuit.
“As with any allegation, the Houston Police Department is now conducting an investigation and will not comment further through the investigative process,” the division said in a statement. It did not specify what Watson is being accused of in the criticism.
Hardin said in a statement later on Friday he and Watson will”fully cooperate with the Houston Police Department.”
“Today we will learn the identity of a minumum of one accuser. We’ll fully cooperate with the Houston Police Department.”
Buzbee, in a statement Friday, said he wasn’t personally involved in submitting the report with authorities. He composed on Instagram before last week that he did not feel comfortable going to the Houston Police Department with any advice and that he and his clients”will go elsewhere to supply our proof to investigative authorities.”
Watson has publicly denied any wrongdoing, and Hardin has said that he believes”any allegation which Deshaun forced a woman to commit a sexual activity is completely false.”
The NFL said in a statement Friday that it is”continuing to monitor all developments” pertaining to the league’s personal conduct policy, and the Texans said in a declaration they would remain in close contact with the NFL during its investigation.
