A 28-year-old is said to have tried to have a rival killed because of unrequited love – but fell for a scam while looking for a hitman. Now the public prosecutor’s office in Berlin has brought charges against him for attempted incitement to insidious murder out of greed.
Already in 2020 he is said to have fallen in love with a man. At first he tried to win him over with “witch curses” that could be booked online, but at the end of 2021 the man moved in with his partner, who later became the alleged murder victim.

In his jealousy, the 28-year-old is said to have decided to have his rival killed. Then he is said to have registered on a website on the dark web that allegedly brokers contract killings and uploaded the name, address and photos of his victim there. His wish: The murder should look like an accident or a robbery.
He repeatedly offered money for the job: first $9,000 in Bitcoin, then $24,000. He fell for scammers, their tricks and excuses.
At the beginning of April he complained to the administrator and commissioned a contract killer named “Felix Fleischer”. The administrator then revealed the scam and offered that he could also offer himself as a contract killer and rip off customers. A journalist informed the police and the man was taken into custody.
