The German economy has escaped a recession almost. The gross domestic product stagnated in the fourth quarter of 2018, as the Federal statistics office. In the third quarter, the economy had shrunk by 0.2 percent for the first Time since the beginning of 2015. A recession is spoken in the case of two negative quarters in a row. These were the last of the year 2012/13.
