Brandon Isabelle pleaded not guilty in the first-degree murder case and in the aggravated kidnapping case.
MEMPHIS (Tenn.) — A Tennessee man was charged Monday with shooting his mother and throwing her baby into the Mississippi River from a boat ramp.
Brandon Isabelle (25), told a judge that he wasn’t guilty of First-degree Murder, murder while complicit in aggravated child abduction and tampering with or fabricating evidence. News outlets reported.
Isabelle was taken into custody after Danielle Hoyle (27), was found dead near a Memphis abandoned car on February 1.
According to police, Isabelle claimed that he lured Hoyle into the spot where Hoyle’s body and car were found. He then shot Hoyle.
According to the affidavit, Isabelle claimed that he drove the baby, Kennedy Hoyle (identified as Kennedy Hoyle), to Mud Island, Mississippi River, and then tossed him into the river at a boat ramp. Police said that Isabelle then took the gun used to kill the woman and threw it into the river at another location.
Although authorities have yet to find the child, evidence suggests that she is still alive, Memphis police stated.
