According to a federal regulatory agency, some online infant bath seats were recalled because of a drowning hazard.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall notice, hundreds of Kar

mas Far infant bath seat “fail” to meet federal safety standards for infant bath chairs. This includes requirements for stability and leg openings.

According to the notice, bath seats can tip over and “pose a drowning danger to babies”.

According to the CPSC the bath seats were designed as a multipurpose seat that can be used for both eating and bathing. The seat comes with a removable tray table.

To date, the company hasn’t received any reports of injuries or incidents related to the recalled bath seats.

Consumers are asked to stop using the recall product immediately and to contact Karmas Far.

Pre-paid labels are being sent to customers to allow them to return their products to the company for a full refund. The company also “notifies all purchasers” directly.

According to the CPSC, the product was sold online at retailers such as Walmart, Amazon and eBay from August 2017 to October 2021.
