Bologna’s new striker Thijs Dallinga is staying positive despite not scoring any goals yet this season. He opened up about a conversation he had with his compatriot Joshua Zirkzee before a Champions League match against Liverpool.
Dallinga, who joined Bologna from Toulouse FC last summer, has been struggling to find the back of the net in his 12 appearances so far. He mentioned that Zirkzee, who now plays for Manchester United, also faced challenges in his first season at the club before eventually finding success.
During Zirkzee’s visit to the Bologna squad before their game against Liverpool, he shared his insights about facing the Reds and emphasized that it would be a tough match. Dallinga himself had a goal disallowed at Anfield in a previous game but expressed his admiration for playing at such an iconic stadium.
Despite their struggles in the Champions League, Bologna are performing well in the Coppa Italia and Serie A. Dallinga highlighted the team’s goals for the season, including winning the Coppa Italia, progressing in the Champions League, and securing a high position in the Serie A table.
On a personal level, Dallinga is eager to get back on the field and replicate his successful performances from last season. He acknowledged the pressure that comes with a big-money move to a new club but is determined to repay Bologna’s faith in him by scoring goals and contributing to the team’s success.
