Adele Defends Pride Month at Las Vegas Show

Adele has no time for hate. During a show as part of her Las Vegas residency on the first day of Pride Month, the singer-songwriter, 36, took a moment to address an audience member who made a negative comment about the LGBTQ+ celebration.

Although the exact words of the heckler were not caught on camera, Adele responded to the individual saying, “Pride sucks.” The “Hello” singer then called out the audience member, asking, “Did you come to my show and just say that Pride sucks? Are you stupid?”

The crowd at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace cheered as Adele continued, “Don’t be ridiculous. If you’ve got nothing nice to say, shut up.”

Adele, known for her outspoken personality, has never shied away from expressing her opinions. Last month, after a break from performing, she shared her thoughts on Sabrina Carpenter’s hit song “Espresso” during her Weekends with Adele shows.

The Grammy winner also discussed the challenges of adjusting back to the Las Vegas time zone following her vocal rest, joking about nearly needing to use the restroom in the middle of a performance.

This recent incident is not the first time Adele has addressed disruptive behavior from audience members. In July 2023, she called out individuals who were throwing objects on stage during performances by other artists.

Adele’s unwavering support for the LGBTQ+ community and her no-nonsense attitude towards detractors continue to be a testament to her strong character and dedication to standing up for what she believes in.
